Alice + Olivia Wonderland

Alice + Olivia's Terry Halter Dress is sweet and sexy - showing off a small waist with the perfect yellow belt. There is a tulle underskirt adding bounce to this flirty number. The halter style of the dress has a retro appeal which i adore! Tea party anyone? I'll bring the scones!

Lovely Ladies

I am lucky... lucky to have a beautiful mother and grandmother who are so sweet.  They are kind and loving to everyone they meet and share the cutest giggle that is infectious.  My mom and grandma are famous for their Scotch Shortbread recipe - I guarantee you will never find a better cookie!

Mom - Thank you for always thinking of me in New York... calling me when Little Manhattan is on TV for the 100th time and sending me care packages with my favorite foods - popcorn and cereal!  I cherish every time you visit and look forward to tea and scones at Alice's Tea Cup.  Thank you for being there to listen and offer advice.  I would be lonely walking to the subway everyday without hearing your voice on the phone.  I can't wait to see you soon!

Grandma - I am always thinking about you and miss you a lot.  I like to brag to my friends that I have the coolest grandma around!  Your love of sports and sense of style make you unique.

I love you both so much and I wish I was sharing Mother's Day with you.  Have a beautiful day filled with happiness!

Love always,

Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 RTW is girly, 80's inspired and fabulous! The collection has frivolous details like bows and ruffles, but what girl doesn't like to dress like a doll sometimes!

Jumpsuits!

Jumpsuits make life easy when getting dressed because all you need to decide on are shoes and accessories.  I've picked this soft silk jumpsuit from Ali Ro because it is relaxed and sexy.  The lively color pattern is perfect for a hot summer night.  Have some fun with this jumpsuit by adding bangles and gladiator sandals!

Make a Wish Barbie!

I was a "Barbie girl" growing up. I had the hot pink Barbie Corvette, the Barbie House, and outfits and accessories galore. I was always concerned with buying the fashionable outfits and shoes rather than buying new dolls, because Barbie could never go out with Ken in the same outfit she wore the week before. I styled her wardrobe by mixing and matching pieces and would separate the looks in individual sandwich bags. Barbie spurred my interest in fashion and although I don't play with Barbie anymore, I still adore her. To me, she is a style icon that never ages.

On March 9th, Barbie will be celebrating her 50th Birthday party at a full size Malibu Dream House styled by famed "Happy Chic" interior designer Jonathan Adler. Barbie will be rolling out the pink carpet for one of the hottest birthday celebrations of the year.

Visit Bloomingdales at 59th and Lex to shop exclusive Barbie fashions, Juicy Couture Barbie dolls, and to view the many vintage dolls on display.

Happy Birthday Barbie, Make a Wish!

Bag Lady

I must admit... I will always be in love with ballerina pink! Juicy Couture's China C Satchel is my MUST HAVE bag for spring. The pastel pink is right on trend for the season, but the bag is also offered in vibrant green and black. The charms hanging from the handle are in typical Juicy fashion, making it flirty and fun. My favorite aspect of this bag is the shoulder strap, because let's face it... you need your hands free for the shopping bags!

China C Stachel; $350

Snake Charmer

Last night I attended the Private Showcase featuring paintings by Alexandra Richards, daughter of Keith Richards; photography by Victor Demarchelier, son of Patrick Demarchelier; and collaborative work by Matthew Rowean and Alexander No at Mina Gallery - 32 Cooper Square. The showcase was fantastic and the artwork was crisp, thought-provoking and chic. DJ Messkid was mixing 70s and 80s disco music that fit the scene perfectly. I spotted a model at the party wearing these fabulous python heels with staggering height. The shoes are by Mechante of London and are available at Mixona (262 Mott St., btwn. Houston and Prince Sts., 646-613-0100) and at Chuckies (1073 Third Avenue at 63rd St., 212-593-9898). The after party was at 1 Oak and some poster size prints from the artists were hung in the club. I will post pictures from last night...stay tuned!

Natalie Portman... love pink!

Natalie Portman looked stunning in an orchid Rodarte gown at the 2009 Academy Awards. This shade of pink is soft while possessing a violet hue. Her hair is pulled back romantically, but Natalie keeps her look edgy with black nail polish and a charcoal clutch. The gown's silhouette complements her petite frame and accessories are kept at a minimum. I love pink!

Taylor Momsen

In this weekend's Page Six Magazine, Taylor Momsen graced the cover with whimsical hair and a vintage inspired brooch. Her look is both sweet and sexy - and in my opinion it is the perfect combination. Her soft curls look tousled yet feminine, while her smoldering eyes are balanced with a pale pink lip. The brooch in her hair creates drama and is the perfect accessory. Momsen, who is only 15 years old, is on her way to becoming a style star.
